With 2021 nearing its conclusion, the City Council would like to thank you for the many hours of service you have devoted to our community this year. Regardless of whether you served within a specified organization, volunteered at city events, submitted city service requests, or provided a warm welcome to new neighbors, your efforts didn’t go unnoticed.

“I am always impressed by the many acts of kindness I see from my fellow residents on a daily basis,” said Council Member Chad Lamb. “Service makes our community stronger and friendlier.”

The City Council is also excited to announce the onboarding of a new staff member. Cassidy Hansen is our new Public Liaison and Policy Analyst. Some of her responsibilities include responding to your public comments and posting information relevant to community issues on the Council’s social media. Cassidy has asked us to remind you that you can follow us on both Twitter @WJCityCouncil and our Facebook page titled “West Jordan City Council.

After following us on social media, don’t forget to take some time this holiday season to make memories with your loved ones.

Council Member Melissa Worthen said, “This time of year, we tend to reflect on what has happened over the months and although we have dealt with a lot of challenges, we have also received many gifts. I hope you choose to focus on the gifts and kindness shared with you throughout the year and passed along to others. Only through on open mind and heart can we learn and grow and have a better future for all.”

The City Council wishes everyone a happy holiday season and hopes you will find several quiet moments to enjoy the presence of your friends, family, and neighbors during this special time of year.
