12-3-2 Sign Standards
  • Maximum Area: Bench ≤ 16 sq ft; Shelter ≤ 22 sq ft
  • Maximum Height: Bench ≤ 42″; Shelter ≤ 6′
  • Density: One at each UTA stop
  • Spacing & Setbacks: 500 ft from other bench/shelter signs; 50 ft from freestanding signs. 48″ from curb (state roads) and 24″ (city streets)
12-3-3 Exceptions & Qualifications
  1. Placement: One double-sided sign per shelter, inside facing traffic
  2. On Benches Prohibited: No signs on benches inside shelters
  3. Insurance: $1,000,000 liability insurance required; city named insured
  4. Sign Permit Required:
    • Property owner approval
    • UTA approval letter
    • Fee (valid one year)
    • City contract
    • Site plan + specs
  5. Approval: Remains valid unless withdrawn
12-3-1 General Provisions
  • Setback: ≥ 5 ft from property line
  • Maintenance: Keep clean and safe
  • Facade Repair: Within 30 days
  • Residential Zones: Section 13-17-2
  • Clear Vision Zone: Section 13-8-4
  • Minimum Clearance: 10 ft pedestrian, 14 ft driveways
  • Construction: Durable materials, concealed wiring
  • Illumination: Allowed
  • Urban Design: Compatible, visible, safe placement
