Fire hydrants are lifelines for firefighters, providing critical water once engine tanks (holding 300\u2013500 gallons) are used\u2014often in just a few minutes. Bright, freshly painted hydrants are easier to spot, especially at night, and show care for our city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program offers complete painting kits with approved, long-lasting paint for volunteers, community groups, or homeowners who want to help. Kits accommodate up to 30 participants for group projects.
