Frequently Asked Questions

Why wasn’t my Seasonal Can picked up after the last full week of November?
The Seasonal Can program ended for the year, just like it has for the past 20 years. Pickup ends the last full week of November every year.

Did the Seasonal Can end early this year?
No. The start and end dates did not change. The program ended on the same schedule it always has.

What changed with the Seasonal Can this year?
Only two things changed:
👉 What goes inside the can.
👉 Its name: now the ‘seasonal can’
Pickup dates, times, and the season schedule stayed the same.

I thought it was year-round now. Is that true?
No. The Seasonal Can has never been a year-round service and remains seasonal to help keep monthly costs lower for residents.

Why doesn’t the city pick it up all year?
Keeping the can seasonal saves residents about $5 per month. The city is also under contract with ACE Disposal through 2027, which limits changes to service levels.

What happens if I leave my Seasonal Can out now?
It will not be collected until the program resumes in April.

When will the Seasonal Can return?
Pickup resumes the first full week of April, as it has for the past 20 years.
