A city without a stable budget is everyone’s worst nightmare.

Thankfully, that’s only something that happens in West Jordan residents’ dreams. During your waking hours, the city is cared for by a team of excellent finance professionals and an award-winning Certified Public Finance Officer, Danyce Steck.

Steck was presented with UGFOAs Finance Officer of the Year award this spring!

We know West Jordan finances are in good hands, and now, so does everyone else.

“This is an incredible accomplishment and a reflection of the leadership, dedication, and high standards she brings to work every day,” said Becky Condie, West Jordan’s Budget Manager.

Steck has a long track record for service to the finance community, from Arizona to many organizations throughout Utah.

She is also a well-respected finance officer and former president of the UGFOA. Steck “…is a fantastic mentor for young professional finance officers,”  UGFOA President-Elect Angela Lupcho said, “and has demonstrated a passion and commitment to excellence in her position as Administrative Services Director at West Jordan City.

You can rest well knowing that Steck and our finance team are balancing the budget. Congratulations Danyce!
