Here&#8217;s a quick roundup of some other highly anticipated construction projects in our city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1300 West<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dominion Energy crews are working in the road to replace the existing gas line. A lane closure is currently in place. The area impacted is 1300 W between 9200 South and 9400 South. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westjordan.utah.gov\/newsroom\/2023\/01\/0130con23mm\/\">Read more.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8600 South Bridge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Construction begins soon on a new bridge above Mountain View Corridor on 8600 South to connect 6000 West and 5600 West. A public meeting is being held Thursday, February 16th from 7 &#8211; 8 PM at West Jordan Public Works (7960 S 4000 W). If you live near Ron Wood Park or Copper Hills High School, you are encouraged to attend and ask any questions you may have. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.8600southbridge.com\/\">Read more.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mill and Overlay Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several streets are expected to be Milled and Overlayed this spring\/summer. A\u00a0Mill and Overlay\u00a0is a pavement maintenance project that becomes necessary when too many cracks have developed in the asphalt surface, put simply: it\u2019s adding new life to old pavement. Postcards with more information will soon be sent to homes that will be impacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7800 South<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The City of West Jordan is in a lengthy design process with UDOT on the widening of 7800 S. south of 5600 W. This is a highly complex project due to the Mt. View Corridor intersection.
