Utah has seen an impressive snow pack this season and concerns about flooding are on the rise. While snow can become dangerous if temperatures go up too quickly, experts do not anticipate West Jordan will see extreme flooding this spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Excessive snowpack built up against a foundation, coupled with rain, could cause nuisance flooding in basements and yards. Residents are encouraged to check their foundation is free from several feet snow and ensure that downspouts are working properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How the City is Preparing for Potential Flooding:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City continues to plan for heavy springtime runoff. Crews have cleared hundreds of storm drains and inspected thousands of miles of pipe to ensure they are free from debris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
