UDOT is hosting an open house event where you can meet the contractor and UDOT team to learn more about the upcoming 9000 South construction project. This event aims to provide project details and contractor contact information.

Project Overview:
The 9000 South construction project is specifically designed to enhance traffic flow, reduce intersection congestion, and minimize average vehicle delay along the corridor.

Key Project Features:

• To achieve these goals, the project will encompass several important enhancements, including:
• Widening 9000 South between Redwood Road and 700 West from five to seven lanes
• Pavement replacement on 9000 South from 700 West to State Street

Construction Schedule:
The project is scheduled to commence after the 4th of July holiday, ensuring any potential traffic impacts are avoided during this high-traffic travel weekend and will continue into Spring 2025.

Anticipated Impacts:
The contractor will utilize efforts to minimize impacts to neighboring residences, business, and the motoring public; however, it is likely the following impacts can be expected near/in the work zone:

• Noise from construction activities, to include some overnight activity
• Increase in vibration
• Increase in dust – dust mitigation efforts will be utilized
• Traffic delays due to lane restrictions and signal work
