Online Police Reporting System

Welcome to the West Jordan Police Department’s Online Police Reporting System. Using this online reporting system will allow you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the police report for free. Please confirm the following to find out if online police report filing is right for you: 

If you answered yes to all the above questions, you are ready to file your report online. Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software before attempting to file a report. If the incident you’re reporting occurred in another jurisdiction, reach out to the agency that operates in that city. 

To complete an online police report, you will need the following information:

  • Who: Victim (whom it happened to i.e. You) and witness personal information.
  • Phone number, address, email, etc.
  • What: describing in detail items or property involved, including photos, videos, and relevant documents as evidence.
  • When: The timeframe or date of when the incident occurred.
  • Where: The incident location is used to determine jurisdiction.
  • How: The story explaining what happened, including the Who, What, When, andWhere listed above.

During the approval process, if this information is not included in your report, the report will be sent back to you to add further details. 

Upon the report’s submission you will:

  • See the notice “Your report has been submitted.”
  • Review and Print
  • Be given a temporary report number.
    • Once reviewed, if approved you will receive an email you provided with a case number.

Please note:

All cases filed using the Online Police Reporting System will be reviewed. 

  • Upon review, if further information on your case is needed, our team MAY reach out to you. In many cases, no follow-up will be conducted due to a lack of information to follow up on and/or suspects. 
  • Filing a false police report is a crime.
