Important decisions are being made: Vote to make a difference

Your vote matters! City Council representatives make decisions about building and development, new laws and code, which projects are funded, and much, much more. Choosing local leaders today helps create the neighborhood you want tomorrow.

2025 is election year for West Jordan City Council! We have three at-large seats up for grabs. These members represent the city as a whole, not just a district area.

Here’s what you need to know for 2025 voting:

  1. If there are at least six candidates running, there will be a Primary Election on August 12.
    1. If you want to vote in the primary, you need to be registered by August 1.
  2. The General Election is November 4.
    1. If you want to vote in the general election, you need to be registered by October 24.
  3. If you are an active voter, you will receive a mail-in ballot before each election.
  4. Election results will be finalized by November 18.

  6. In-person voting locations: Election Day Vote Centers or Early Voting Locations

P.S. Did you know the by-mail ballot law was updated in Utah this year?

Starting January 1, 2029, voters are required to opt-in to receive a mail-in ballot. Once you register for a by-mail ballot, you will receive one automatically for eight years.
