Get ready for a magical evening in West Jordan! In partnership with the Salt Lake County Library and Excellence in the Community, the First Friday Holiday Event is a festive night filled with treats, entertainment, mini games, and a special visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Whether you’re here for the music, the drone show, or the holiday fun, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy!

What is the event?
A festive evening in West Jordan featuring s’mores, hot cocoa, mini games, a drone show, a First Friday concert, and a special visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus!

When and where is it?
Friday, December 5, 2025
Viridian Event Center – 8030 S 1825 W, West Jordan, UT
Event starts at 6 PM.

What’s the schedule?

  • 6:00 PM: S’mores and hot cocoa in the outdoor amphitheater (supplies limited)
  • 6:30 PM: Drone show (weather permitting)
  • 6:45–8:30 PM: Mr. and Mrs. Claus arrive in a West Jordan Fire Engine, then meet-and-greet and photo opportunities
  • 7:30 PM: First Friday Concert with the Salt Lake Symphonic Winds
  • All night: Mini games with prizes

Do I need to bring anything?
Dress warm, and plan to eat before the event—only treats like s’mores, cookies, and cocoa are provided.
Non-perishable food donations will be collected by the Utah Food Bank at this event. If you’re able, please consider giving back this holiday season.

Can I take photos with Santa?
Yes! Library staff will help take photos and email them to you at no charge.

Is the drone show guaranteed?
No—weather can affect the timing. It may start earlier or later, or be canceled due to snow or wind. Event staff will keep visitors in the loop on any timing changes.

  • Canyon View Credit Union Community & Arts Center (8105 S 2200 W)
  • West Jordan Rodeo Grounds (8035 2200 W)
  • West Jordan City Hall (8000 S Redwood Rd)

Is the event free?
Yes! This is a free event for the whole family.
