  • Software tools
  • Finance management advice
  • Lessons on staffing
  • Licensing information
  • Curriculum and more.

If you need help finding childcare

Find West Jordan Childcare

Parents and guardians can search for childcare in their area that matches their needs, schedule interviews and have easy access to payments.

What this means for West Jordan taxpayers:

  • This is paid for by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) which is a federal program in the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It’s a mouthful, but in simple terms, is federal funding to strengthen communities. Money can be used for things like economic development, community centers, housing rehabilitation, public services, etc..
  • Upwards will regularly report the outcomes of the program to show that the community and businesses are benefiting.
  • Businesses who qualify for the support are accountable for the use of the money. They will need to keep up with evaluations and reports to ensure the funds are being used efficiently and properly.

Testimonial from – Jessica Sheffield, owner of West Jordan’s Bright Start Preschool

“As a busy mom and childcare in-home business owner, I can confirm that having Upwards has made a huge impact on my life. Upwards has helped me keep track of a lot of the business aspects that frankly I didn’t go into business for. Money is an essential part of owning a business, working and raising a family, but my heart is really into teaching and being with the kids. Upward has saved me time so I can focus more on what I love but still make it possible to provide this service to the families. I have appreciated this program a lot and it has taken one stress [off] my plate as a mom and childcare owner!”
