OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK
The City Clerk's Office is responsible for all City records, attending City Council meetings, preparation of City Council agendas, taking and transcribing minutes of Council meetings, follow-up of Council actions, publishing of legal notices, conducting bid openings, administering oaths of office, administering election laws and procedures of Municipal and Special elections, and all phases of management of City records including filing, indexing, imaging and storing.
The City Council minutes, adopted Ordinances, Resolutions, contract documents, etc., are available in the Clerk's Office. If you have a request for a specific document from any city department, you may submit an online Records Request or contact the Clerk's Office at 801-569-5115 for assistance.
At times, there is confusion about the difference between the City Recorder, the County Recorder, and the County Clerk. Because of the confusion, we receive several calls that actually pertain to the County Recorder or the County Clerk, rather than our Department. Here is a list of common questions and the answers:
