Mayor’s Message – October 2025

We are thrilled to announce that our new community and arts center building has a new name! It is now the Canyon View Credit Union Community and Arts Center! This center highlights our city’s commitment to culture, creativity, and connection.

West Jordan has always had a heart for arts. From the old Sugar Factory Playhouse building to today’s 12,700-square-foot center, this site is a place where stories are shared, and friendships are built. With the support of Canyon View Credit Union, we are creating even more opportunities for art, entertainment, and community gatherings in the years ahead.

Thank you, Canyon View Credit Union for your partnership, thank you city staff for your dedication, and especially thank you to the residents who brought this center to life. A special thanks goes to Olympian and World Record Holder Sam Watson, whose words remind us of the power of perseverance and community. Check out the video from the unveiling here.

This center truly belongs to the people of West Jordan, and I am excited to see it continue to grow as a hub for creativity and connection.
