Kayleen Whitelock
Candidate Profile: Kayleen Whitelock, I’m a fiscal conservative (putting needs before wants), experienced leader who’s focused on growth and economic development, to keep residential taxes low.
While we need varying densities, high density doesn’t belong everywhere.
I’ve served the community in many capacities, working with the state legislature and have a great working relationship with its members.
I’ve lived in West Jordan with my husband Dan, for 42 years.
As a nurse I held several positions, including the University of Utah’s Burn Unit. And as the director of a pharmaceutical research company, where I wrote and implemented policy.

Kevin Seal
Candidate Profile: While some people see the position of City Council as a job, I see it as a position of service. I don’t want to be a politician on the Council, I want to be your neighbor on the council. I’m against high density housing. I don’t believe in unnecessary ordinances or tax increases.
It’s important to me to know which things you want see in West Jordan, and which things you don’t. I encourage you to reach out to me and express your wants and concerns.

Sergio Sotelo
Candidate Profile: Sergio Sotelo is a proud union electrician, small business owner, and lifelong Utahn running for West Jordan City Council. As the eldest in a hardworking Mexican American family, Sergio learned leadership, discipline, and the value of a dollar early in life. A member of IBEW Local 354 for 15 years, he has served on numerous committees and remains deeply engaged in labor advocacy. Sergio and his wife are raising their two children in West Jordan and are committed to the community’s future.
