Mayor’s Message – August 2025

It’s that time of year again! New tablets, stylus pens, and the sound of school bells ringing across our fantastic city! As our students head back to class, let’s work together to keep them safe.

Remember to slow down in school zones, watch for crossing guards, and give our young pedestrians plenty of space. A few extra seconds on your commute is worth a lifetime of safety.

I’m proud of the partnerships between our city, our schools, and our families. From our crossing guard team to dedicated teachers, from engaged parents to our incredible first responders and city crews, we’re all part of the same team.

Here’s to a safe, successful, and fun school year, West Jordan!
