Applicants must provide the following with the permit application.

Conditions of approval

  1. Applicant shall apply appropriate tackifier to dirt stockpile if requested by the City of West Jordan.
  2. Applicant shall be responsive to adjacent property owners and will address all concerns expressed in a timely manner.
  3. Applicant shall maintain all erosion control measures.

Work start and utility coordination

The applicant must notify the City Engineer or the Engineering Inspector twenty-four (24) hours in advance before any work is started.

Applicant is required to consult utility companies operating in this area before excavation.

In granting this permit, the City makes no representation as to the location of utility facilities in the area to be excavated or the effect of the permitted excavation on said utilities.

In consideration for a Land Disturbance Permit, the applicant agrees to perform the excavation in a professional manner and in conformity with City ordinances, and to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the City of West Jordan and its officers, agents, employees, and volunteers from claims, costs, damages, and liabilities arising from work performed under a permit issued pursuant to this application.

Permit holder agreement and initials

As a permit holder, I agree to the following:

Applicant has obtained approval from all Development Services Departments prior to installing any site infrastructure, public or private.

Applicant is responsible for installing and maintaining all SWPPP requirements to control and contain pollutants associated with construction activity, including BMP installation, maintenance, inspections, and documentation.

Activities encumbering the City right-of-way, both traffic- and construction-related, require filing of a Public Right-of-Way Encroachment Permit.

A Stop Work Order will be issued if the developer or contractor fails to comply with the conditions of a permit issued pursuant to this agreement.
